Two designers.
From first visit
to final detail.

Ella Morrow founded Morrow in 2016, with a focus on the small, often awkward gardens behind Melbourne homes. She leads the site planning, materials and construction detailing — including the practical things a beautiful image can leave out, like bin access and where rainwater goes.

Ben Hart joined in 2020 and leads the planting design. He maps out what stays, what moves and what goes in, with plant quantities, spacing and care notes. Ella and Ben stay with your project from the first site visit through the final drawing set.

We’re a design-only practice. We prepare plans, help you compare landscape contractor quotes and offer agreed site visits during construction. The brief can be a compact courtyard, a family garden or a coastal property; the drawings are tailored to the size of the job.

WHAT WE COME BACK TO
01

Listen first.

The first site visit covers sun, levels, access and the plants you want to keep. We also ask who uses the garden, how you entertain and how much upkeep feels realistic.

02

Let nature in.

Every planting plan names the species, pot sizes, quantities and spacing. We consider what you’ll see from the house in winter as carefully as what flowers in spring.

03

Think beyond today.

We draw plants at their intended mature size and plan access for maintenance. Where a garden needs to happen in stages, the drawings separate the first works from what can wait.
